Donation to Help Earthquake Victims

The Labexchange employees did not hesitate and spontaneously launched a donation campaign one day after the severe earthquake had hit parts of Turkey and Syria. A colleague´s family living in the Turkish city of Antakya, which was heavily affected by the earthquake, has lost everything due to this disaster. The family members barely survived and are now severely traumatized. They lived in their cars for days, as they will never be able to return to their homes that are either destroyed or in danger of collapsing. Their source of livelihood, a pharmacy, no longer exists.

After colleagues had learned how badly the family was affected, they were all eager to donate. The staff alone raised 665 euros, an amount that was generously matched and rounded up by the Labexchange management. In total, a remarkable donation sum of 1,400 euros could be transferred directly to the family in Antakya. There was great joy but there were also tears of gratefulness among the family members in Turkey for the spontaneous and uncomplicated help that had really come from the heart.
