Labexchange donation draws the crowds at the Maker Space in Stuttgart

The iGEM team from the University of Stuttgart was represented at the “Maker Space” technology fair in Stuttgart. The young researchers presented their “Light up the Pipe” project, including a demonstration of the functions of the PCR cycler provided by the Labexchange Foundation. This caught the attention of many visitors. In a follow-up to the fair, the students thanked Labexchange once again for its donation and reported on their successful appearance at the event. In September 2017, the Labexchange Foundation supported the students with the development of a biological pipe cleaner and donated a second-hand Stratagene Robocycler 96 worth € 1,250 to help with research work. The background to this was the students’ participation in the “international genetically engineered machine” competition (iGEM), initiated by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) ...
